Medicare rebates (individual sessions)
With a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), individual video sessions are eligible for the clinical-psychologist Medicare rebate of $149.05 (item 91167), leaving an out-of-pocket gap of $135.95 per session. A plan covers up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year. To arrange one, book an appointment with your GP and ask about a Mental Health Treatment Plan; your GP can refer you to Dr Duncan. Couples sessions are not Medicare-rebatable, as Better Access covers individual treatment only.
